Tigers Break Through in the Third, Blank Hornets

The Stoney Creek Tigers stayed unbeaten with a 3–0 win over the Cambridge Hornets on Saturday night at the historic Galt Arena Gardens. In a game that remained scoreless through forty minutes, the Tigers finally broke through in the third period to secure their third straight victory.
Cordell James opened the scoring midway through the final frame, finishing a setup from Cole Poliziani and Mike Ruberto. Bo Webster followed shortly after, converting feeds from Josh Pietrantonio and Andrew Whalen, before Poliziani added the insurance goal to close out the night.
Goaltender Matt Sagrott was outstanding in net, recording the shutout with 26 saves as the Tigers outshot Cambridge 42 to 26.
With the win, Stoney Creek improves to 3–0, continuing an impressive start to their fourth Allan Cup Hockey season. The Tigers return to action Thursday, November 13 on the road against the Wentworth Gryphins, before hosting the Hornets again Saturday, November 15 at Stoney Creek Arena.
